晚上來透露廖院長今天 #視訊會議 與歐盟代表的悄悄話👂
研究能量不用搭飛機✈，也能用力跨海🌊催落去！
廖俊智院長今（18）日下午續與歐盟駐台辦事處處長高哲夫（Filip Grzegorzewski）會面，以及與多名歐盟官員代表同步視訊會議，共商力抗新冠肺炎（COVID-19，嚴重特殊傳染性肺炎）的策略與防疫機制。
不只要分進合擊，還要國際聯手抗疫。廖院長表示，此次邀集歐盟相關單位視訊會議，就臺歐如何在快篩、疫苗等合作面向討論。除了分享我們目前的研究成果，也討論未來如何在歐盟國家內應用。
歐盟也對臺灣目前防疫的成果表示肯定，未來將與中研院合作致力開發快篩和疫苗。高哲夫也在推特上表示，有15分鐘的快篩之後，將可以擊敗新冠肺炎病毒。
現場與會人員包括高哲夫、中研院研究人員（林宜玲、胡哲銘、謝世良、楊安綏、陳建璋）、外交部歐洲司、疾管署等。另參與視訊會議則包括歐盟衛生總署、歐盟災害防救及人道救援總署、歐盟研究暨創新總署、歐盟疾管署等。

Joining Forces Worldwide! Fighting the Coronavirus with the EU
Yesterday (March 18), Academia Sinica President James Liao held a meeting with Head of European Economic and Trade Office Filip Grzegorzewski plus video conference with several EU officials to discuss policies and strategies for fighting the spread of COVID-19.
President Liao explained that EU officials from relevant agencies were invited to join the video conference to discuss possible collaboration on rapid testing and vaccines. In addition, AS shared its current research results and discussed how they could be put to future use in EU countries.
